We are a small licensed kennel in Lincolnshire just north of Boston.
We have always had a passion for all animals and over the years
collected a number of unwanted pets which has resulted in a wide range
of residents at Three Stacks ! some of which can be viewed on the web
site.
Our main passion are the Italian spinoni . we have had the pleasure of
sharing our lives with these lovely dogs for over 18 years and until
recently we had four generations of aspenwood here .
we are always here for any help and advice regarding the breed and
welcome visitors to meet and greet -- and be slobbered on -- as
interaction with the adult dogs is always best before committing to a
new puppy .
Spinoni are a great breed but I don't think its a breed everyone can
live with !!!!
Twelve years ago we introduced curly coated retrievers to the aspenwood
home , although we don't breed very often , they are lovely dogs in the
right hands as a true working breed .
fantastic water dogs with a great temperament .our last litter was over
2 years ago.
As we are getting older we started looking at smaller gundog breeds and
introduced the spaniel to our home . they are great active dogs with
huge characters and love to work and do agility which is our new passion
as travelling around the country showing, leaving home at 3 am to get to
venues on time has lost its appeal over the years .
Over the last few years we've become active in trying to help assistance
dogs of all types ,hearing ,disabled and PAT. the crosses seem to be
favoured and we now donate puppies regularly and would urge other
breeders to do the same . there are great charities and if more puppies
were donated from breeders to these organisations instead of them having
to buy them then they would have more funds available to train them
which would mean more four legged assistance partners trained and out
there working .
Some of our other residents include a rabbit, guinea pig, ducks, cats,
various birds and 2 cairn terriers, and Vinnie the Saint bernard, came
to us from rescue and now doing well
